Make Your Own Ferrero Rochers!
This could quite easily be my favorite Christmas chocolate. Whilst slowly biting into one of these fine chocolates my mind was saying surely I must be able to make these myself. So off I set to create my very own version, and you know what? They actually taste like a Ferrero Rocher! This was one of my finest moments.
Ingredients:
- 200g Nutella (chocolate spread)
- 200g Dark chocolate melted
- 7 Wafer thin biscuits (I used ice cream wafers)
- 100 g whole Roasted hazelnuts
- 50g finely chopped roasted hazlenuts
Small baking tin lined with greaseproof paper
Method
Pour 1/3 of the melted chocolate into your baking tin, now break up half of your wafer biscuits and sprinkle over the chocolate. Next sprinkle ont op your whole roasted hazelnuts, then dollop the chocolate spread all over and smooth down. Add another layer of broken up biscuits, pour in the remaining melted chocolate and then the chopped hazelnuts and smooth everything together so the chocolate is covering the chopped hazelnuts.
Leave in the fridge to set for 1 hour, then you can cut into bite size pieces and serve, or wrap individually to give as a present. These will keep in an air tight container for up to 2 weeks in the fridge.
